KIDS CLASSES
10th Planet Daly City offers no-gi jiu jitsu, Muay Thai, and combat jiu-jitsu for kids ages 5 and up.
Our kids’ program focuses on building respect, confidence, discipline, and focus through martial arts. Whether your child trains for fun or competition, our goal is to help them grow into positive, confident individuals. Sparring and competing is not required, and parents are always welcome to watch a class.
Head instructor Gino Francisco has over 10 years of experience working with kids of all ages, including those with special needs.
KIDS JIU JITSU

After a year-long review of our kids program, the coaching staff has decided to make some necessary adjustments to our Jiu Jitsu program.
Belts are encouraged but optional to wear in class and we will no longer award stripes.
We will be using a format similar to our adults program of solid belt colors. (No grey/white belts or grey/black belts etc).
Here’s a breakdown of the belt levels:
Beginners level - White belts and Grey Belts
Intermediatelevel - Orange and Yellow belts
Advancedlevel - Green and Blue belts
Parents are encouraged to purchase a white belt for their children to signify they are beginners. Colored belts will be awarded by the coaches
The reason for this change is to create a better learning environment for our students. This format also aligns with several No Gi Jiu Jitsu tournaments within our region. We hope that this helps our students focus more on skill development rather than rankings.

All youth students must wear a 10th Planet Shirt / Rashguard for youth classes
First time students are temporarily permitted to wear a plain black or white pre washed rashguard / t-shirt
Bottoms:
Students must wear training shorts or leggings for class (no buttons, zippers, or velcro)
Official grappling shorts/pants are encouraged but not required
If students are not wearing appropriate attire they may be asked to sit out of class for the day.
